Love the top tube shifter. In the absence of a front wheel dyna hub, the purchaser could mount an acetylene lamp--essential kit for night manuveres.

I think it's not a 1934 because it has a brass headbadge, which started in 1936, though a lot can happen over the course of 90 years. It's an RRA. I just think it's later than '34

I’m not sure about that short stem either.  It looks too short for the stock bike.  Are those bars painted black?  I’ve not seen the Record Ace with the celluloid handlebars.  Am I wrong?

I do see a black celluloid option listed.

Well, as John said, a lot can happen to a bike in 90 years. It's pretty original but obviously not 100%. The saddle, for example, is not original.

A Lauterwasser bar requires a really short stem, so the length of the stem does not bother me. But is it supposed to be black? Someone painted the seat post, and I suspect that's not all he painted.

Nice bike, though. The price doesn't even seem that crazy to me.

The RRA has been sold…

I hope someone restores it to a more original state…

maybe this Copake item will give Russell some ideas:

https://copakeauction.hibid.com/lot/263591448/star-bicycle-saddle-bags?ref=catalog

Copake isn't showing current high bids. I guess you have to bid and see if your amount is high enough. Some of their estimates seem way off.
