Don’t think I recall seeing one of these before?

Built by Raleigh, obviously, for AMF (like many Hercules were). Probably late ‘60s or early ‘70s ...

NB: I’ve already taken the Brooks B66 it came with off, for treatment.

Looks to be in pretty good shape. The glossy paint says it wasn't left out doors for very long.

Several British car & motorcycle companys had bikes. Triumph, Humber, Raleigh. Some bike companies ventured in to car manufacturing long ago.
More recently there have been BMW, Mercedes Benz and Ferrari bicycles. And the bottom feeder GMC Denali bike.

It was and still is a common practice for the larger bicycle companys to put any name on their bikes for sale by other retailers.

I've had an AMF (American Machine & Foundry) bicycle made in England.
Stelber (American department store) made in England.
Huffy Sportsman 3 speed made in England.

According to the book on Schwinn head badges, Schwinn sold bikes under an estimated 15,000 brand names.

Rick

...and Land Rover, but they were really Moulton APBs, like mine. 🙂
