| What bewilders me about those cranks, and the right-angled ones made by whoever-it-was-that-I-can't-remember-right-now, is why they thought that it would make any difference - unless additional 'spring' was what they were after? Consider replacing the crank-arm on either side with a disc of radius the same length as the crank arms. Drill as many holes as you like all the way around the outside of these discs and tap them for pedal threads. Which holes do you chose for your pedals to get the best effect? Apart from picking them 180 degrees apart for an even cadence (ask Jon about that), I don't think it makes any difference? So what are these exotic cranks meant to do for you, apart from looking really cool - even though that is reason enough to have them! At least with biopace chainrings I can see that there is a principal behind the design that might have some merit?
