Dear Widers of the Wealm:

After 20 years of this frivolity, we have come to the realisation that it is becoming more important than ever. We gather every year, shake hands, hug and eat pastry but that is only scratching the surface; we are all better for it in many mischievous ways.

The Lake Pepin 3-Speed Tour has a polish to it that shines brighter than ever. For veterans, many would not miss it for the world and for those who are new-comers, welcome, you have a lot of people to meet and a lot to learn about dignified English cycling in the 30s.

Other things floating in the soup:

• Parking in Covil park will the same as years past; stay back by the water park so we leave plenty of room for the fishermen.
  
• Trigger and Bobbie will be providing 3-Speed Lorry service as usual but this year, but Bobbie will be driving solo since Trigger has his 50^th class reunion to attend. He will join us Sunday. Bobbie may need a hand if you are able to help and, since this is her weekend we are ruining, a heavy tip would help.
  
• The Smiling Pelican has been notified of our intentions of invading their garden and deleting their entire stock for the day. They seem oddly pleased.
• Camping in Wabasha has been approved in Malone Park.
• Jim Robinson will be offering tea and scones at the Saturday morning check-in.
• Friday evening pre-party at the Staghead is approved like last year; call ahead for reservations. Sunday afternoon will be like last year as well; we will have the place to ourselves.
• Turning Waters/Hoppy Girl Brewing will be ground zero for our stay in Wabasha. Brenda is arranging another stunning Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. Reservation and payment details will be forthcoming soon. The price will be higher.
  
• Attendance is moving north of 70 already and we are capped at 120. Don't wait too long.
  
• The Wisconsin DOT took it upon themselves to remove one of our most beloved photo stops; the Lake Pepin sign at the bottom of the Bay City Hill. Our mischievous deed is to simply replace it with a similar sign with proper spelling. The old one looks like this. The details of this deed shall be divulged later and they are not inconsequential.
• Our high-level, low-life planning meetings still occur on the first Monday of every month (i.e. tomorrow) at 6pm at Barley John's but truth be told, the Nutters tend to arrive a little early.

Gulp, another great 3ST for the nutters to look forward to.  Time flies and wheels turn.  Wish I could be there this year, but I not ready to travel just yet due to pandemic issues.  Great to view all the photos of past rides. 

Have you considered having a list of all the British three speed brands, years, and models as an attachment to your ride report?  Might be fun to read and refer to afterwards; more work though.

Have fun along the path!  You and Melanie already planting seeds/seedlings at farm 2?
