I vaguely recall reading here about a gent who recovered Brooks saddles. I don’t know if it was a hobby thing, or a business thing, but, if anyone knows who it is, I think I have one I’d like to have him do.
Thanks in advance.

That's probably me.

It's a hobby, rather than a business. Standard recover is $100 plus shipping.  I have plenty of B72 frames, so getting yours back is not urgent. The leather I use is a light tan color and awesomely thick, and will take a variety of dark colors (i.e. anything in the range brown, dark brown, darker dark brown, black). I can dye it with a leather dye any color you want, but as it ages it will darken and within a few months the brown will overcome any dye.  Paint is also an option, if you really want a blue or yellow saddle.  Each saddle is an art project in which i do my best to give the buyer what they want, success not guaranteed.

Are they great saddles? Frankly I'm not sure. I've done about 225 of them. And ive ridden thousands of miles on them. Some people definitely love them (i have repeat customers), but, you know the kind of nutters we are. Not always objective.

Anyway, there are a couple photos of B72 type saddles in this folder:

I have both of those for sale now, $130 plus shipping. Others, too. Feel free to poke around my Flickr pages and you should get some idea of what my saddles look like.

Are bag loops an option? I need my Caradice to hold my sweatshirt on longer rides. How ‘bout the tooling in the side, seems like weiner dogs and porpoises are available?
Those are gorgeous saddles. Can you leave the leather in it’s natural color, sans dye? I’d prefer to watch it age with use. Any option on leather thickness?
You can email me at te...@usfamily.net
I’m interested.

Rudi, I’m interested in getting at least one saddle re-leathered. I don’t see your contact info.  Can you email me at mbrigham64 (at) gmail dot com
