I recently updated my motherboard bios to the latest available (version 4402) to get rid of the 'core isolation' warning windows security was giving me for the past year or two. After booting it up, it would freeze on boot, with a qcode of either error 98, Ad, or A0 (seemingly random, but one of those three). After a power cycle or two, it would boot up and work properly. I tried a variety of things, such as removing all USB devices (including case connectors), changing power/quick boot/shutdown settings, updating all other asus drivers, graphics card drivers, and other bios settings, but nothing helped. The computer still worked, it would just require 1-3 extra attempts in the morning to get it to boot properly.
