Notice: To all users near Konica Minolta printers at SCSU. The driver upgrades to SCSUPrint and SCSUPrint2 servers in March 2018 revealed that the default setting of "print in grayscale" is now done by each individual on their computer.

Note: If your computer is enrolled in DAP or is part of the CAP program, the common Konica Minolta drivers should already be installed. Try adding the printer first, and if the correct driver is not available, go through the steps below to install it.

Set up printing presets to quickly enable printing features such as double-sided printing, color printing, etc. The printer defaults to color printing. Do the following to set a preset and then to set as the default for black and white printing:

How can the issue be resolved with the account track "save settings" being greyed out. I have researched and tried every solution that I could find with no luck. Here is the situation I have one Mac with Sierra and two Konica Minolta bizhub printers 364e and c454e. This issue just started were you can not save the account track code in the printer driver settings. I have tried adding with bonjour and ip address with no luck. It was working but user had an issue connecting to the printers so I had to remove and re-add them. After re-adding unable to save the account track settings. I have tried with MS Word, Adobe Reader, Text Editor, Safari with no luck. I have searched through the settings in CUPS to see if you can enable something there but could not find anything about "Save Settings" for account track. I have reset the printing systems twice and started over no luck. Any ideas?

If you haven't done so already, run the reset of the printing system again and then trash the KonicaMinolta folder in /Library/Printers. This folder contains the plugins for performing these KM functions and the user may have restrictions on access - possible if the files were installed for a previous version of OS X on this Mac and then upgraded to Sierra. With the folder removed you can then run the v1.09 installer again and add the printer.

I used composer to create the package for the print driver (as I had done previously) but I can't seem to access that setting. That brings us to the other problem I have - when I (or anyone else) go into system preferences on my Mac and go into manage printers, there is nothing in the list. The printers I have installed through Casper are there as options when I actually print something, but I cannot see them to manage them.

The first is a generic command honored by most printers, the second one is based on a KM BizHub 1050e . Both are untested, as I've never had to provision BizHubs widely. lpoptions -p printqueuename -l will list the options for a given printer and driver.

You can also use the -o switch with the lpadmin command when creating a printer. Note that the CUPS queue name may not match the printer name in the GUI. lpstat -a will give you a list of queue names.

I install the drivers at imaging time so I know the driver is already on the computer. The "-o KMDuplex=Single" is what sets the copier to single sided. I recently began using the lpadmin command in Self Service policies to add all of our organizations printers and it has worked well.

To default to single-sided on a Konica Minolta BizHub printer, we install it normally on a Mac, then use the CUPS web interface to enforce single-sided printing (under Finishing Options for our particular model). The printer is then captured using Casper Admin, and deployed normally along with its driver package. The single-sided default setting is retained.

Printers that are used by multiple people or departments often require a layer of security to prevent just anybody being able to send or retrieve printed documents. This guide aims to help in setting up a print code for Konica Minolta brand printers to meet this security goal.

Click Start then search (just begin typing) Printers & scanner then open it. Find and select the printer you need to add the print code and click Manage.

I am using JasperReports to print from my Java application. All the prints were OK for all costumers for quite a bit of time, but recently we have installed the software for couple of costumers that all have Konica Minolta PagePro 1200 or 1350W printers. And all those costumers get the same result - the printing is "stretched" - as if I printed A4 report on A5 paper. Except that I am printing A4 on A4 and on all other printers it works fine.

Now this code produces two prints that on most printers both print a line from the top left corner of the paper to the middle of the paper. However on the aforementioned printers the first print creates a thick line across the whole paper (200% scale) - the second variant is however OK even on Minolta printers.

I've had trouble with printing with label printers when the print job's media hint did not communicate fully through to the driver. Its actually very similar to your problem, stretched prints, skipped pages etc,.

I dont know if you have code to modify, but we had to switch to System Printing instead of Java Printing. Then with the System Printing settings, (windows spooler in my case), I had to create a printer with the exact driver settings needed to print properly. Its rarely anything you can really do in JasperReports other than specify the width/height/orientation.

These printing defaults are two of our top printing best practices and the easiest cost-saving measures to take. However, if you make these changes on your computer, you will set up these defaults for you and you alone. This is usually the case if the network printers are already installed on your computer or if the printer is local (not on the network; just installed directly on your computer).

I have a network printer Konica Minolta bizhub C20P. Until yesterday, I'd been able to print for the past couple of years. I had Ubuntu 10.04, I upgraded to 12.04 a couple of days ago (both 10.04 and 12.04 were 32 bits). Yesterday I did a fresh installation of 14.04 64 bits, and today I've been trying to get the printer to work. I've tried several things:

a. install a new printer through System Settings/Printers, then either 1. add a driver file kmC20Pnp.ppd which I downloaded from the Minolta download centre (which is the driver I had until yesterday, which worked for all these years), or 2. select the printer model from a list;

d. also some of what's described here about the i386 architecture: Can't get my Canon LBP printer to run under Ubuntu 14.04 (I had problems before while trying to install acroread that had to do with an incompatibility between i386 and amd64, so I thought that might be the problem).
