Nasser hospital in Kan Younes- an appeal from NWRG

can we learn how to act to protect/ prevent?

Nasser hospital has hundreds of health workers and patients and few hundred of refugee that are trapped in.

Today the Gaza governing authorities inform:

🛑 Today we were contacted by the UN , that they are informed by the Israelis, that the Israeli forces are planning to storm Naser hospital in Khan younis, which mean a new massacre like Shifa hospital.

Naser hospital, the 2nd biggest hospital in Gaza Strip after Shifa hospital, was besieged for the last 3 weeks, a lot of displaced people and medical personnel killed by snipers, the hospital denied any supplies.

This operation means a new massacre against our people and the health system, despite off ICG DECISIONS and all international appeals to stop this GENOCIDE.

We warn strongly of this step and call for international intervention to stop these massacres and this doesn’t serve any de-escalation of the situations.

Nasser hospital has been attacked more than once in these months, you may remember the case of a missile shot (and thanks god unexploded) into the Neonatal intensive care unit, that nonetheless took the life of a 14 years old girl, orphaned and amputated.....

Nasser is under siege since 2 weeks, bombing all over around and thanks surrounding  and snipers  fired inside and killed people in previous days and they broke the north side wall yesterday

IDF ordered to evacuate (where and how not defined), but, even so,  

yesterday somebody attempted to follow the directive of IDF to leave the hospital and was shot (aljazeera).

Informing UN by IDF today  is only a fig leaf or a joke, no safe evacuation is offered or safe destination. And mainly....why should an other health facility, protected under International laws be attacked anyhow?

we have seen the same thing happen, with procedural variants but essentially to bring the structure to close and inflict punishment on the personnel and patients, more than 30 times already .

can we prevent this one and the next one...European hospital the only  hospital of size left in all of Gaza???

or at least make such a case that carries weigth with it for public opinion and our governments?

first... send the news to press

second.... join healworkers campaign in each country and go to the rallies

third write about in main press, in niche press, on the walls

But do it now, people die also for lack of medical services, in flocks, whether wounded or else!
