GPU

Hello,

Do you know if the GenomicSEM package on R is GPU enabled? I am trying to run common factor gwas on 40 traits, which requires a lot of memory and run time. I was informed that if this program is GPU enabled, it may be able to run faster, so I was wondering if it is.

Hi Rama,

unfortunately, it is not, though we are looking at GPU compute, its not something I expect to be a reality soon. There are various optimizations possible for GenomicSEM on Linux see this document for tips: https://github.com/GenomicSEM/GenomicSEM/wiki/1.1-For-Linux-users
