Dear GIAB,

We’re looking to hire a bioinformatician at NIST that will help us develop the next generation of Genome in a Bottle benchmarks. Projects could include T2T assemblies of tumor/normal genomes, as well as benchmarks for transcriptomes and other 'omics. Our team, based in the MD/DC/VA area, values serving the community by doing foundational, collaborative work that helps improve accuracy of genome sequencing, while maintaining work-life balance and optional telework. NIST has a range of opportunities to work with us, but this position is open to US citizens only. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups. If you have questions about this position or any other questions about NIST feel free to email me, or, if you are at Biology of Genomes this week, stop by my poster 309. Apply at https://www.usajobs.gov/job/723819900 through May 21, 2023.

Thanks!

Justin
