I've been thinking about this for some time. I think your question is good to start with. Maybe we can think about this in terms of the EDE too and the other tools that are appearing, such as the mandala, spirit wheel (document attached) and shikshantar, and the idea of unlearning - http://shikshantarschool.com/

Also, have you looked at some of the elements of education from Earth Village, Pi's community? This could also support us with developing our ideas for education and curriculum for GENOA and beyond. Here is a document from Earth Village about a project they did after the hurricane in 2013. If you go through it, you will see a mandala they used. 

These are all things we can use to develop our ideas about education because we can get into details of curriculum. I think if we have some models to analyse together, we can have interesting dialogues and set up some good learning processes.
