Hi,

I am using an image that is created by my teammate under her account. However, when I want to log in my switch which using this image, the system asks password. I am wondering what the password is and can I use the image made by someone else(she created the image under her account and using a different PC from mine.)  Thank you!

geni@lubuntu-VirtualBox:~$ ssh js2...@pc3.genirack.nyu.edu -p 30778
js2...@pc3.genirack.nyu.edu's password:   ?????

You should not have to enter your password. Make sure that you have
uploaded your public SSH key to your identity provider (probably
Utah Emulab or the GPO Portal or University of Kentucky Emulab). Then make
sure that the private half of your keypair is available to your ssh-agent.

Remember, though, that your public key is only added to the node when the
sliver is created. So if you needed to upload your public key to your
identity provider, then you should delete and recreate your sliver to make
sure the public key ends up on it.

So my question is how to upload my public key? Is there any instructions that I can follow? My ssh private key part has no problem because I can log in my host which does not contain the image by ssh.

Uploading your public key depends on who your identity provider is. Are
you a Utah Emulab user? Or are you coming in through the GENI Portal? Or
somewhere else?

Go to your profile page (https://portal.geni.net/secure/profile.php) and click on the "SSH Keys" tab. At the bottom of the page you should see an upload button. Follow the instructions from there.

Hi, just one more thing. Does that mean I need to upload the public_key from my teammate who creates the image to my identity provider? Then I create a new flack?

Using Flack only the person who reserves the nodes will have their account and public keys loaded onto the nodes.

If your teammate would also like to have a separate account with their own keys, you will need to use a different tool to make the reservation.

To do that, try this:
 * Have your teammate upload their public key to their account
 * Make sure your teammate and your are in the same project
 * Add your teammate to your slice.
 * Save your RSpec from Flack
  * Make the reservation using the "Add Resources" button in the Portal.

Then both you and your teammate will each have your own account accessible using your own keys.
