Hi,
The Ubuntu 12.04 with OVS image does have OVS 1.9.3 installed as a kernel module,
so it does use kernel OVS. I believe that you can use this image in any IG rack on a XEN VM.
You can simply give the URL of the image in another rack and it should just load.
