Hi Adrian,
I think there are two different issues here:
1. On your VMs you can not see the gre tunnel interfaces. Another
experimenter has seen this problem before and I was able to reproduce it
just did not have a chance to send an email about it (I will send a
follow up email just for this)
2. You would like to connect an OVS to a host over GRE, I have not
tried this personally but I have heard that this might not work the way
you expect it to because these tunnels are layer 3.
If you hit a deadend with GRE tunnels, there is another way to connect
VMs from multiple sites together, but this functionality is still in
alpha testing mode and it is limited to few sites, but you are welcome
to use it if you want (I will send you more info about it).
