that can help you with this]

Hi Adrian,

I think there are two different issues here:

1. On your VMs you can not see the gre tunnel interfaces. Another
experimenter has seen this problem before and I was able to reproduce it
just did not have a chance to send an email about it (I will send a
follow up email just for this)

2. You would like to connect an OVS to a host over GRE, I have not
tried this personally but I have heard that this might not work the way
you expect it to because these tunnels are layer 3.

If you hit a deadend with GRE tunnels, there is another way to connect
VMs from multiple sites together, but this functionality is still in
alpha testing mode and it is limited to few sites, but you are welcome
to use it if you want (I will send you more info about it).

Cheers,
Niky

Hi, there is an attachment mentioned in the message, but it was not
included. Can we get that so we can better picture of what you are trying
to do.

I have not heard of any bug reports with GRE tunnels not being seen in the
guest. Note though, that you do not see them as GRE tunnels, they just look
like a layer two ethernet interface connected to another node in a point to
point link. You just use it like a plain ethernet interface.

Hi Leigh sorry I should have forwarded Adrian's original email.

I have added the attachment here, and I am sending the email about the
GRE tunnels in a sec.

Cheers,
niky

PS: the other emails about the gre tunnels was at he...@geni.net that is
why you haven't seen them

Hi. I think the gist is that you should edit the GRE links and change the
type from gre-tunnel to egre-tunnel.
