Hi,

I am trying to reserve some resources using the Flack through the portal
and looking at the logs I saw the following error.

The advertisement rspecs are parsed correctly, any idea what is wrong?
Could it be that the SA does not have the Flash security policy installed?

Thanks,
Niky

Yes. Did your flash policy server stop working during the maintenance?
What is the URL of the SA used at the portal? I can fetch by hand using
telnet and check.

Looking at a template omni-config file it looks like the sa and the ch are at:

 https://ch.geni.net/PGCH

Hi Niky,

I do not think that the flash security policy server at the SA is the issue. If it were, you wouldn’t have gotten as far as trying to reserve resources. You would not have been able to log in (username turns green), much less see aggregates (list in left panel).

What task was executing when you got the error? If you were trying to reserve resources, Flack was probably talking to one of the aggregates, not the SA.

In the Tasks and Logs panel (click on monitor-like icon in upper left, then the view tasks and logs button (I forget the exact button text), you should see one of the tasks in red. Click that one and you can find additional information like the exact XML-RPC invocation and the server Flack is trying to contact. Please send that info so that we can help you debug the issue.

Hi,

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem since last night, so it
might have been a one off. If i see it again I will capture all the info
and send it along.

Thanks a lot,
niky
