Hi Aishwarya,

Currently in LabWiki we do not support resource reservation. After you have used other GENI Tools such as Flack, Omni or the GENI Portal for reservation, you can use LabWiki to orchestrate and collect measurements for your experiment.

I am cc'ing the geni-users list here to help answer your question.

It may also be helpful for us to know:

1) What kind of topology (e.g, ring, mesh) you want to reserve?
2) Do you have a preference for the type of OS and compute resources you have on your nodes?
3) Would you need these nodes to be on same or different aggregates or does it not matter where the nodes are located?

Thanks,

Is there an easy way to generate an rspec defining a large topology.
If I want a topology of about say 30 nodes , how can i create this rspec?

Thanks for the information Aishwarya.

The install script you mentioned is for InstaGENI Xen-VMs using Ubuntu 12.04 and the GIMI tools.

Basically, I have a c++ code and run executables etc. using bash and most of the system commands I use are those of the Ubuntu terminal. So I suppose this image works best for me.

SO I wanted to know how to create a large topology, not using Labwiki .. but is there some script of sorts to generate it or do I have to manually edit the details of the topology (eg. in Flack)

Hi Aishwarya,

Actually, we are currently working on such a script and will be releasing it in the next couple of weeks.

Would you be interested in being a tester for our script?

Cheers,
Sarah
