Hi Sujayyendhiren,

I'm copying the geni-users mailing list as that is the right place for
such questions. Please join this list if you are not already a member [1].

Utah Emulab resources are in heavy demand, and hence this policy of not
allowing renewal of idle resources.

You have a couple of options:
1. Use resources from aggregates that are not from Utah. Most InstaGENI
racks give you longer expiration times and will allow you to renew your
resources. Use Xen VMs instead of bare machines if at all possible.
2. If you have to use Utah Emulab resources: When you are done actively
using your resources, create a custom image and free up your resources.
When you come back, you can load your custom image and continue with
your experimentation [2].
