Hi,

When trying to set up multi-node stitched topologies between raw-pc
nodes on InstaGENI racks using stitcher.py, I sometimes saw errors
like this:

seed = 1391777022
Physical Graph: 7
Calculating shortest paths on switch fabric.
Virtual Graph: 3
Generating physical equivalence classes:7
Type precheck:
Type precheck passed.
Node mapping precheck:
*** No possible mapping for missouri
OS 'emulab-ops/FEDORA15-STD' (OS-10008) does not run on this
hardware type!
*** Node mapping precheck failed!
ASSIGN FAILED:
Type precheck passed.
*** No possible mapping for missouri
OS 'emulab-ops/FEDORA15-STD' (OS-10008) does not run on this
hardware type!
*** Node mapping precheck failed!
.
17:28:49 ERROR stitcher: Stitching failed with an error:
Reservation request impossible at ...

Does anyone have insight as to what failure conditions with
stitcher.py will generate the above error? As I mentioned, the
hardware type I specify in my RSpec is raw-pc, so I don't think the
error message "OS does not run on this hardware type" accurately
describes the problem I'm hitting. I suspect the actual problem is
that the stitcher is not able to allocate a raw-pc at the InstaGENI
site, but I haven't been able to confirm.

Thanks,
Andy

Yep, this is exactly the problem; there are no nodes available,
they are all in use. The resource mapper is getting confused and
not providing a useful message in this case.
