Hi,

I have reserved resources at the UH EG rack using Flukes (Slice: urn:publicid:IDN+ch.geni.net:GIMITesting+slice+exocdn8). The resources seem to be ready (All nodes and links are green). However, I have the following problems while trying to login:

1) From Flukes - I obtained the login Info using "View Properties". I am unable to login as either root user or my username, dbhat.

2) I am unable to see the sliver in the GENI Portal. The status on the GENI Portal says the slice does not contain any resources. I also tried using Omni's readyToLogin feature and get the attached info (eg-uh.log).

Also, PFA my flukes.properties file (flukespop.txt).

Could there be a problem with the credentials I am using?

Thank you.

Hello Divyashri,

Your slice (exocdn8) is active on UH ExoGENI rack.

You can login to the VM by using your SSH key that is listed in your flukes.properties file. (ssh.key=~/.ssh/id_geni_ssh_rsa)

From Flukes on “View Properties” window "Management access” is listed, so you already know the IP address of the VM.

ssh -i ~/.ssh/id_geni_ssh_rsa dbhat@<IP Address>

Best regards,

Mert

I think the issue is this - you look like you have CH integration turned on in Flukes, which means that it picks up your SSH public key from the CH. At the same time when you ssh, your ssh client is picking up your private key from the filesystem, and I’m guessing those two don’t match.

You can test this easily by turning off CH integration in Flukes (make sure enable.genisa=false and enable.genima=false and restart) on a small slice and see if this changes things.

Oh and because the CH/MA integration is not complete, Flukes doesn’t populate the slice info in the portal - this is on the todo list.

Thanks Ilya and Mert,

It works now after disabling genima and genisa.
