I'm trying to set up a topology like the following:

when I connect the VMs using gre-tunnel, they are able to be reserved. but when I login to the switch and do "ifconfig", I can only see eth0 and can't set bridges to the interface since I can't see them.
Then I change the tunnel type to "egre-tunnel", but I can't even reserve the resources successfully.

I've tested different aggregates and got the same result.

Any help on this ? Thanks so much!!

Hi. The current implementation of tunnels does not allow openvz to talk to xen
containers. So H1 and H2 also need to be XEN containers.

Thank you for the reply.
But when using gre-tunnel, I was able to reserved the resources. For that, the problem is I cannot see the interfaces except for eth0. Is there a way to solve this? Thank you!

Hi. That is a different issue. Regardless, you cannot connect XEN and
openvz together via tunnels of any kind.

Either use only openvz contaners and gre-tunnels, or use only XEN
containers and egre-tunnels.

If you are having problems reserving resources, then please send along more
detailed info; actual rspec submitted, when you submitted it, the logs from
Flack, etc. There is more info in the geni-users google group in the first
message and in the welcome message.

Thanks!
Leigh
