Couldn't renew my slice

Hi,

My slice name is testdistributed from portal.geni.net account and my userid is velus01. It is going to expire today and I am trying to renew it for the past two days but I couldn't renew it. The date is automatically changed to 2014/6/6 when I am trying to renew by giving some dates like 2014/6/7 or 2014/6/10 like that and giving the message as the slice is renewed till 2014/6/6. Mean while I got an email saying that my slice is going to expire on 6th. Could please, help me renew my slice and its resources.

How are you trying to renew your slice (which tool)? Can you send us the exact output of the tool or  a screenshot?
Which Aggregate are you using? What type of resources do you have in your slice?

Hi Niki,

I tried to renew from Portal itself if we click on slice , then we could find renew option with renew slice and known resources  and we have an input box to enter the date till we want to renew. I used that option to renew. I was able to do previously, I have renewed couple of time as above but recently it didn't allow me to renew, the date input box is not taking the date I am entering.

I am using resources from geni.kettering.edu and five of them are VMS and two of them are PC's.

Now I renewed using Geni Desktop till 13th of this month.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce the problem. It looks like the portal resets the date when hitting the renew button to the current expiration date
instead of using the one selected and since you were able to renew with GENI desktop it seems like a portal bug.

We will look into it,
