Hi,
I'm using Geni portal and I'm trying to deploy a raw-pc from emulab nodes. I'm not able to access emulab nodes using flack with the help of Geni protal. Here are my details:
  • type of account - GENI Portal
  • tool you are using- Flack
  • slice name - OVS-exp
  • aggregates you are using - Utah-protogeni

Here is my username - akellaan

First I logged into my Geni portal account tried to create a slice name OVS-exp. I clicked on slice page, it showed my slice details and then I clicked on "Launch Flack".

Please take a look at jpg file. I don't see flack is able to get resources from emulab.net. I tried deploying a raw pc from uky.emulab.net for my experiment. I don't see the device status as Green.

Can anybody take a look and let me know what I'm missing?

Thanks,

Anand

Hi Anand,

Emulab.net has a very big advertisement and it times out when Flack tries to get it. I timed it with omni and it is close to 40 - 49 secs while Flack only waits for 30secs
before timing out.

Jon, do you think you can increase the timeout in Flack, to 60 secs instead of 30? I know that this means that for AMs that are offline this will make Flack more sluggish
but at least emulab might have a fair chance in loading.

Cheers,
Niky

I'll try to make this change early next week.
