Hi Ben,

A few key InstaGENI images are listed in Flack (click the "i" in a circle, set the node to be a VM or a rawPC, and then select an image from the pulldown).  The complete list of InstaGENI images available on a given rack can be retrieved by calling listresources at a given aggregate [1].

For ExoGENI, images are listed on a webpage [2].

I don't see any Ubuntu 10.04 listed on the couple of InstaGENI racks that I tried.  This earlier message [3] to geni-...@googlegroups.comI indicates that due to the age of this version of the OS, it is no longer supported by InstaGENI and it's use is discouraged.

Can you use a more modern version of the OS?  Ubuntu 12.04 is widely available.

Cheers,
Sarah

[1] For example, you can call listresources at the UtahDDC InstaGENI rack using omni like this:
omni listresources -a utahddc-ig -o

Is there a list of commonly used Geni images anywhere?  Can someone point me to it?

I'm looking for an image for Ubuntu 10.04 which can be used on Utah protogeni nodes with Xen.

Thanks,
  Ben Newton
