Hello,

I was trying to do an experiments reserving PC's and VM's. When i did my experiment i found that the experiment done using PC gives the output faster than VM. Is there any difference between them? I am reserving VM for the first time. The attached screen shots with this e-mail are the slices i am using for both my experiment and the output of the iperf i am getting in both the experiment

Thank you

Regards

Hi Raj,

Multiple VMs (virtual machines) run on a physical machine (raw PC).
When you get a VM you are sharing the resources of that PC (cores,
memory, network cards) with other VMs running on that PC. That is
likely why you are seeing better performance when you use raw PCs
instead of VMs.

You can learn more about VMs at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_machine.
