hi Derek,

I am adding geni-users to the distribution since someone there should be
able to help you.

I just tried launching GENI Desktop in a slice after loggining in and
waiting for a while i get this errors:
Checking slice status, this may take a few minutes
Status Check Failed.
ERROR Status Check Failed.
ERROR Status Check Failed.
ERROR Status Check Failed.
ERROR

Are those similar to what you see?

My slice is does not have GEMINI extensions installed.

Cheers,
niky

Hi Derek,

Can you tell me what the slice name is ? BTW did you click the
genidesktop button next to your slicename at the portal ? If so, can you
try clicking on the "Genidesktop" button in the "Tools" section on the
portal page instead.

cheers,

Hussam

The slice name is doneillEXP1 and your suggestion of using the link under "Tools" instead of by my slice worked. I can now initialize and instrumentize the slice through the desktop but now whenever I try to add GEMINI graphs to the display I get a window with the correct title but with the broken image link symbol instead of the graphs. Any ideas why this would be?

Hi Derek,
You may have missed one minor thing. As soon as the genidesktop page was launched, yo may also have got a pop up window telling you to accept a self signed certificate. Make sure you  have genidesktop.netlab.uky.edu in your pop-up exception list . If you no longer see the pop up window now, here is a small neat trick to force it up again.

Click on any node (other than the GN node) in the topology at the genidesktop. Then from the list of options where (the rocket button), click on ssh. This will open a small window with an SSH button. Click the SSH Button. This will launch a new browser window/tab with the self signed cert. Once you accept this, you should also then be able to see the graphs. This accepting of the self signed cert has to be done only during a session.

cheers,
