You could also look at weebly.com which is also very user friendly - with drag and drop WYSIWYG and offers a number of modifiable templates.

You can upgrade to the pro account to remove the weebly footer.

Could you provide me with feedback on using Wix.com to build an amateur

The user is someone with no knowledge of programming whatsoever, so is
looking for something really easy and user-friendly.
 
If Wix.com is not ideal for such a target, can you recommend anything else?
