Hello Everyone,

It's been a couple of months since the last release of code. Genesis2 version r11627 is now available.
(Stanford: simply type "module load genesis2". Others: Shoot me an email to get the tar ball)

Please note:
If you are a Genesis2 user, but not on the genesis...@googlegroups.com, please send me an email and I will add you. If you know of other users that are not on the list, please forward this email to them. This list is our way of making sure that everyone is always synced to the latest (and bestest :-) version. You are always welcome to check our wiki for the tools documentation at our wiki page: genesis2.stanford.edu.

You published a paper and it's not on the list? Let me know and I'll fix that

What's new?
  • To help our growing user community, in this release the code is compiled into an executable, and already bundles all the Perl libraries that Genesis2 needs. Just unzip and use.
  • This release also fixes a couple of small bugs as well as add features, mostly for setting up the configuration via scripts.
What's in the future?
We are planning some serious introspection of signal lists and ports and interfaces. Introspecting not just the genesis layer, but also the generated Verilog. Stay tuned.

As always, comments and new feature ideas are welcome.
Ofer.
