Another day and another tragedy....how appropriate this time:

But people are having their voice heard! (see below on how to #DemandAction too)

Yet as many of you know, last week the Senate voted 68-31 to allow "debate" on Bill 649, the Safe Schools, Safe Communities Act and Democratic Senator Joe Manchin (WV) and Republican Senator Pat Toomey (PA) negotiated a compromise to close the gun show and internet loopholes for avoiding background checks since 40% of gun sales are currently unchecked. Watch the SNL parody:

Private sales are probably responsible for 78% of gun crimes so this is the BARE minimum of what is required and what families of lost loved ones deserve: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/11/gun-experts-on-the-manchin-toomey-bill-it-is-a-step-forward-but-a-small-step

90% of Americans believe dangerous people don't deserve 2nd Amendment Rights BUT children deserve the Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness yet our system doesn't work that way so our country has a homicide rate THREE TIMES HIGHER than Somalia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate

BUT THE NRA IS STILL FIGHTING TO CRUSH ANY REFORM & WE NEED SEVEN MORE VOTES!
