GENERASIAN NEXT WEEKLY

(Please note attached is full graphics file for Enews and T-shirt design)

Back from the Blues . . . Onto the News!

Bonjourno!  The Enews is back after a week off of mourning because of Zinedane Zidane's zend-off and les bleus defeat in la finale couple du monde 2006.  Zizou won't be back, but I am back and the Enews must go on!  And with my return there are some noticeable notable notes served short and succinct, well at least for my verbose nature.

Modestly displayed in azzurri is that the Enews is now called GenerAsian Weekly, and not just because of its changing appearance every week, but because we bring the news weekly.

The next titillating tidbit is that even though we are providing three savory meals, parking pass, 12 hours of community service, and an ultra awesome Conference for the low registration price of 35$.  Since it is the ides of July and we would like the conference to be a small investment in your future, we have decided to do the next best thing, and that is do the unthinkable; the price is now dropped to a total of only 25$!!!  Registration forms are online and may be sent by check or cash.  If there are specific requests for paypal, please contact Conference Administrator, Robin Ng (ng_...@yahoo.com) for further instruction.

Register today to reserve your seat and to take advantage of this discount.  I also forgot to mention you also receive our official GenerAsian neXt team t's in what else, but les bleus.  I was able to get my paws on the design and decided to give a little sneak peek – I don't think anyone will notice.  These hot items will be available in a couple of weeks for you to sport the team colors before the conference so register today!

To get pepped up for the big day, be sure to check out the website http://www.aacsohio.org/generasian.html to get caught up on everything GenerAsian.  On the site you can read up on the programming, view the brochure, see some pictures, and download the registration form to assure you get the best seats in the house when the big day comes!

Also a feature coming within the next week is an archive of these Enews, so you can catch up what you missed, kind of like an Enews tivo without the remote.  Be sure to let your friends know about the website, so they can sign up and be right next to you in the midst of all the action.

A vast improvement about this year's conference is the sponsorship and collaboration with a wide variety of community organizations; this means a better conference and also that you will have the chance to meet and network with these groups at GenerAsian neXt.  Let's meet a few of them.

GenerAsian neXt is hosted by Asian American Community Services (AACS).  AACS is a non-profit organization that has served the Asian population of Columbus, OH for over 30 years!  AACS provides services in the areas of Interpretation/ESL, Asian Free Clinic and Smoking Prevention, Traffic Safety, and Youth Services.  It is located at 4100 N. High Street, Suite 301, Columbus, OH 43214.  Go to www.aacsohio.org to see how AACS can meet you and your family's needs!

Many of you will be attending college or will be starting to get ready for college in the near future.  So in this bustling metropolis we didn't really have to go far (just down the street) to look for a university to support our conference.  We are working with departments from The Ohio State University.  GenerAsian neXt will be held at the College of Agriculture's Administration Building.  The heads of Asian American Student Services will be at our conference speaking and advising.  We are affiliated with Office of International Education and Office of International Affairs

For those of you who are interested in attending Ohio State, First Year Experience (FYE) will be at our conference to answer any of your questions about becoming a buckeye, or college admittance in general.  And for those of you interested in saving some $$$ so you can afford to put at least a down payment on college textbooks, the director and some staff from the Office of Minority Affairs will be there to offer financial information as well as scholarship and grant opportunities.  Don't miss this great chance to get to know these university leaders looking to provide opportunities and help you!!!

Now that we have our uni's & t's, our sponsors & affiliates, and I will introduce our accomplished coaches (speakers and advisors) in the next few weeks; we just need you, our key players to complete a championship squad so sign up today!!!

Until next time, we'll see what format I come up, but one thing is for certain- on with the news!

Sincerely,

hi...just confused and wondering,

do small-group leaders need to register/pay the fee?
