A man who underwent a dramatic change from street fighter and
petty criminal to obsessive artist and poet as a result of a stroke.
He was, before he died, the subject of a study by two neuroscientists
- one from Harvard and one from the UK.
Tommy also became a much more gentle person after his stroke , 
the sort who abhors  violence and would have hurt nothing and no one.
Or as he put it , he found his feminine side
