The 'Spoon bending' type of experience would not be complete unless we had an entry for Uri Geller. He made the ability his own publicising it all over the world. But Uri could do more than just bend spoons and although James Randi tried to imply spoon bending was the only trick Uri had, this wasn't actually true, as Uri managed to buy a £15 million mansion with a swimming pool, helicopter pad, tennis court and glass pyramid in Sonning, UK, on the money he made by dowsing for oil and minerals for companies like Rio Tinto Zinc. Companies were prepared to pay him 1 million for every 'hit' and in the end this money helped him buy and renovate his museum, with its eclectic collection of the personal souvenirs he had amassed over the years
