Here is another resource for developing computational reasoning in math and science using three modeling tools (Excel, Vensim, and NetLogo) - http://www.psc.edu/eot/k12/2011yr.php
"The CAST Professional Development Program is an integrated set of modules to train teachers on how to incorporate computational reasoning and tools such as modeling and simulation into their middle and high school math and science curriculum. The first set of modules (1,2,3,5,7,10,12) presents a complete program on how to USE models and simulations in the classroom. A second set will focus on how to CREATE models and simulations." The second set of modules will be posted by this spring. This is a collaborative effort between the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, the Maryland Virtual High School, and the Math and Science Collaborative of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.
We would welcome any feedback!
THANKS,
Scott
