Hello,

I am trying to run a local GenePattern server on Mojave 10.14 for some application development. I followed the installation instructions online.

Here's what I'm getting in the console:
error 08:50:24.298762 -0500 open Unable to load Info.plist exceptions (eGPUOverrides)
error 08:50:24.680533 -0500 tccd spooky magic for /Applications/GenePattern.app/Contents/MacOS/GenePattern (622F2123)
error 08:50:24.695535 -0500 Google Chrome 10759711: Error #17  (os/kern) invalid right attempting to add send right to port ( port:282199/0x44e57 rcv:0,send:0,d:1 limit:0).

After looking around online, I found that the first error seems to be a Mojave-specific issue. I'm not sure about the others. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Celina

Try moving your GenePattern.app into your /Applications folder. For best results, first shut down the server, then move it, then start it up again. That worked for us.

I have been trying to launch it from the Applications folder, but the problem still persists.

Hello Celina,

Did you delete all previous installations before moving? or did you just move it after installing?

If the latter, I would suggest you delete the previously failed installations, start with a new download, move that to the applications folder and try again.

Let us know if that helps. (That worked for us)

Best
-Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I deleted all previous installations and tried again from the applications directory. At this point, I think the problem has to do with OSX 10.14. Have there been any reports of the server not working on that version of OSX?

Thanks,
Celina
