Visualizer issues

Hi

    WHen I submit my leading edge viewer job to visualizer, I get the following error. 

 Error retrieving job details: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Can anyone help?

Jay,

the problem is probably that the version of java that you are using to run the VisualizerLauncher is older (as is the launcher) and needs to have its keystore certificates updated.  There are a lot of variations in this for OS, Java version etc, but this page seems to do a good job of walking you through the steps.

Hi John

     So our institute IT person did the certificate thingy :-) as you suggested on the website link. It looks like it is connecting now, but it now returns a different error window with the message "An error occurred while reading the input file".   Please advise.

     BTW I am using the latest version of visualizer visualizerLauncher-1.2.8-full.jar.

Sorry that its still not working.  My best guess is that it might still have a certificate issue within the visualizer or else there is a network issue between you and our AWS hosted server.  Without a stack trace from the app its not possible to debug this remotely.

I think your best bet will be to download the GSEA desktop application (https://www.gsea-msigdb.org/gsea/downloads.jsp) and then rerun your analysis in the desktop version which includes a version of the leading edge viewer.
