Hi there,
Before running the Bowtie Aligner I need a Bowtie Index 2 as a template. There is none publicly available for tomato so I am creating a custom template (a Bowtie Index) with the Bowtie Indexer. (I hope that's what I have to do to work with tomato RNA-seq samples).

So I input a fasta file as requested and leave the rest as default, including the random seed number (=123456).
I click run and got this error message:
"The random seed must be an integer"

I don't know what went wrong nor how to solve it.
Thanks,
Fernando.

Hello Fernando,

Do you have a job id? This would make it easier for us to investigate.

Best

Hi Barbara,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to find the job ID but there are too many (failed) jobs and couldn't find it.
So I went again to the Bowtie Indexer and repeat the process with a fasta file of all cDNA from tomato (from Emsembl) and left the rest on default (I hope that's what I had to do).
The new job ID is 1602025 and I will keep you posted (it is pending and taking quite a long time).
Thanks again and happy holidays!
Fernando.

I think the new job 1602025 worked now!
Thanks!
Fernando.
