I have loaded my Gedcom and the display is confusing.
I have dots and squares, representing males and females half way
through names and it isn't clear at all. I must be doing something
wrong as no one else seems to have reported this.

Panic over. I was loading the .ged file from its own folder but I have
moved it to the data folder in the program and it displays correctly.
