Last week at Ulverston, Mr. NICHOLSON, an eminent tanner in Irton parish, Cumberland, to Miss PRESTON of Ulverston.

[According to FamilySearch, Joseph NICHOLSON and Ann PRESTON married on 14 Apr 1777 at Ulverston.]

Lately Mr. John WILKINSON, of Arkelby near Cockermouth, to Miss BUSHBY of Bothel.

[According to FamilySearch, John WILKINSON, aged 23, and Mary BUSHBY, aged 21, both single, married on 05 Apr 1777 at Torpenhow.]

Thursday last, Mr. Robert CHRISTOPHER, Bookseller, in Stockton, to Mrs. Ann TODD of that place.

DIED

Last week, at Carlisle, after a long illness, Mrs. Jane ADDERTON, a maiden lady.

[According to FamilySearch, Mrs. Jane ADDERTON, aged 70, was buried on 14 Apr 1777 at Carlisle.]

Last week, after a few days illness, Mr. Richard JACKSON of Harker, near Carlisle.

Thursday last, in the prime of life, Miss Nancy QUAYLE, of Castletown, in the Isle of Mann, second daughter to Mr. Robert QUAYLE of that place.

[According to Manx National Heritage, Anne QUAYLE, daughter of Robert, was buried on 19 Apr 1777 at Malew.]
