At St. Mary's church, in this city, on Tuesday last, Mr. Wm. COLQUHOUN, guard of the Independent coach, to Sarah, second daughter of Mr. John WHARTON, of the Spread Eagle Inn, Carlisle.

 

At St. Cuthbert's, in this city, on the 15th inst. Mr. Joshua HODGSON, grocer, Scotch-street, to Miss CARRUTHERS, daughter of Mr. CARRUTHERS, of the String of Horses, English-street, Carlisle.

 

At St. Cuthbert's—On Saturday last, Mr. John BLACKLOCK, to Miss Mary CRAGE. On Thursday last, Mr. Robert IMRIE, to Miss Jane SHYLAN.

 

At Arthuret, on the 27th of September, by the Rev. Fergus GRAHAM, Samuel IRVING, Esq. of Longtown, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. Wm. SWORD, of the same place.

 

At Penrith, on Saturday last, Mr. John GIBSON, stone mason, to Ann, daughter of John HODGSON, yeoman, Sandgate, Penrith. Same place, on Monday last, Mr. R. P. MONKHOUSE, cordwainer, Eamont-Bridge, to Mrs. HOPES, widow.

 

At Dissington, Mr. Joseph THOMPSON, to Miss Mary Ann ADDISON.

 

At Cockermouth, Mr. John SWAN, stone-mason, to Miss KENDALL, teacher, Great Broughton.

 

At Crosthwaite church, Mr. W. BLAKEY, woollen-manufacturer, of Forge, near Keswick, to Miss HARDISTY, daughter of Mr. HARDISTY, of Myrtle Grove.

 

At Ulverston, Edward Dodson SALISBURY, Esq. of Dudley, to Mary, daughter of the late Thomas PARKE, Esq. of Ulverston.

 

DIED,

 

On Tuesday last, in English-street, in this City, Christiana, wife of Mr. James SAWYERS, tailor, aged 40 years; after a lingering illness which she bore with Christian fortitude. She was highly respected.

 

On Sunday evening, near the west walls, Carlisle, Mary SISSON, aged 43, housekeeper to the Rev. Mr. MARSHALL, Roman Catholic Priest. She had gone up stairs about supper time, and was soon after found in a lifeless state, kneeling by the side of her bed.

 

In Caldewgate, on Tuesday, Alice NOBLE, aged 56. She had been employed in washing during a great part of the day, went and hung the clothes upon a hedge, and on going into a relative's house immediately afterwards, fell to the ground, and died.

 

Since our last—Mrs. Margaret JOHNSTON, of Annetwell-street, aged 77 years. Mrs. Elizabeth DOUGLAS, Bog-of-Allan, aged 70 years. Mr. George, GRIFFEN, Abbey-street, 68.

 

On Sunday the 3rd instant, Thomas, eldest son of Mr. James HUDDERT, butcher, of this city, aged 9 years.

 

At Linstock, on the 14th inst. Mr. Henry BISHOPBRIGG, aged 77.

 

At Penrith, on Thursday last, Mrs. Hannah NICHOLSON, widow, aged 70.

 

In Irish-street, Whitehaven, Mary, the infant daughter of Mr. MITCHELL, surgeon. In Bardywell Lane, Mrs. WALES, wife of Mr. WALES, tide-surveyor, at that port, aged 48. In West Strand, Mr. Thomas STUBBS, late supervisor in the excise.

 

At Seaton Hall, Bootle, Mr. Thos. WOOD, in the 39th year of his age; an eminent grazier.

 

At Maryport, Mr. J. Whiteside FAYTON, 47.

 

At Ambleside, Miss Margaret HOGARTH, aged 83.

 

On the 3d inst., at Eaglesfield, Mr. Ponsonby HARRIS, aged 52 years, one of the Society of Friends.

 

At Cockermouth, on Monday last, in childbirth, Mrs. RUDD, wife of Mr. RUDD, solicitor, aged 35 years.

 

Lately at Scogill, new Lorton, Mrs. STAGG, widow, at the advanced age of 92 years.

 

At Netherwood, on the 4th inst. Isabella youngest daughter of William MONIES, Esq.

 

At Wadd Cragg, Embleton, Mr. John ROTHERY, in his 68th year.

 

At Rowrah, where he had retired for the benefit of his health, Mr. William KITCHEN, late of Whitehaven, grocer, aged 36.

 

At Calcutta, on 31st March last, James, seventh son of Mr. THOMPSON, Provost of Dumfries. This promising young man met his early fate at the age of 15, by falling from the rigging of the ship Bengal into the water.
