A few days ago at Rawcliffe near Carlisle, Mr. Joseph BENDALL, an eminent sadler in Carlisle, to Miss Peggy JACKSON of Harker.

 

At Stanwix near Carlisle, Mr. BOWMAN of Rickerby, to Miss FORSTER of the same place.

[According to the Marriage Register Transcript, John BOWMAN, aged 22, and Mary FOSTER, aged 20, married on 05 Sep 1779 at Stanwix.]

 

DIED

 

Wednesday last, very suddenly at Seaton, Capt. William BOWMAN of the Britannia of this port.

 

Last week at Newcastle, of the smallpox, Lieut. ROSE of the 23d regiment, quartered there.
