Fully searchable and completely FREE !!

I just found the huge ancestor family in the 1901 census for a cousin in Worcester.  I was able to "save" and "print" both the transcription and the page image.

I didn't have much luck...course when you are looking for James Moore and only armed with his birth date and his parents are James & Jane, that doesn't narrow it down easily.  I'll keep looking as it's a huge brick wall for me.  This is Bri's grandfather and he wouldn't talk about his family in Ireland and why he left.   A mystery!

Hi Diane.

Don't give up; I was looking for a Jack Forbes (who, as it turns out) was really a John C. Forbes !); just took a bit of fine-tuning to come up with the right family. Knowing [ vaguely ] the area he might be in, helped too.

p.s. for Di

Do you have an approximate time frame for when he left Ireland; how old was he ? etc. etc.; did he settle in Canada ? what was his birth date ?

Barb.

Hi Barb

James Moore was born on July 26, 1876 in Ireland.  His parents were John Moore & Jane Bradley.  He married Jessie Ann Esson in Toronto on Apr. 17, 1908.  James died in Vancouver on Apr. 19, 1950.

I was told he came from Belfast, but don't really know if that's true.

Have the family on the 1911 census.  Ellen Margaret had joined the family on Aug. 6, 1909 in Vancouver, and John on Dec. 24, 1910. (Bri's Dad)

Jessie was born Feb. 20, 1883, Ballater, Scotland.

According to the 1911 census, James came to Canada in 1904,  Jessie in 1907.  I have not been able to find any passenger lists for either of them.

Di
