Saturday 31 Dec 1825   (p. 2, col. 1+2)

AT an Adjourned Meeting of the Undersigned LINEN & WOOLLEN DRAPERS, held at the KING'S ARMS INN, on the 22nd Day of DECEMBER, 1825, the following Resolutions were agreed to:—

(Mr. JOHN BECK in the Chair.)

1st. RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY,—That the old System of long Credits having been abolished by the Manufacturers, and all Drapers being obliged to purchase their goods for prompt Payment, they are under the necessity of shortening their Credits; and that after the first Day of JANUARY, 1826, all Family Accounts will be delivered at the end of every Six Months.

2nd. That Milliners and Dress-makers being in the habit of sending for Goods on Memorandum, it is considered necessary, to prevent mistakes, that in future their Accounts be delivered on the First Day of every Month, and expected to be settled.

3rd. That being convinced of the propriety of adhering to a fixed Price, they are resolved to mark their Goods accordingly, from which no Abatement can be made.

    (Signed.)
