HOUSE OF RECOVERY.

 

AT the Annual General Meeting of the SUBSCRIBERS to the CARLISLE HOUSE of RECOVERY, held at the TOWN-HALL, on MONDAY the 5th Day of December, 1825,

 

WILLIAM HODGSON, Esq. Mayor in the Chair.

 

IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED,

 

1. That the Report now read be adopted, printed, and circulated, under the direction of the Committee.

 

2. That the following Gentlemen, viz. Mr. John DIXON, Mr. Joseph FERGUSON of Fisher-street, Mr. Joseph FERGUSON of English-street, Mr. FORSTER of Castle-street, Mr. John FORSTER, jun., Capt. HALTON, Mr. Wm. HALTON, Mr. HEAD, Mr. John HODGSON, Major MOUNSEY, Mr. NANSON, and Mr. Thomas STORDY, be appointed a Committee for the coming year.

 

3. That the Thanks of this Meeting be given to the late Committee for their valuable services in superintending and managing the affairs of the Institution.

 

4. That the most cordial Thanks of this Meeting be given to the Medical Officers, and especially to Dr. BARNES, for their benevolent attention to, and successful treatment of, the Patients confided to their care in this Institution during the past year.

 

5. That the Thanks of this Meeting be given to the Treasurer and Secretary for their valuable services during the past year.

 

6. That the Thanks of this Meeting be given to the late Mayor, Mr. LANGCAKE, and Mr. John HODGSON of Castle-street, for their exertions in raising a Subscription, and their ability and assiduity in applying it to the restoration of the Public Walks of the City to their present state.
