Tuesday at York, aged 87, Mr. Thomas GENT, Printer, well known for his histories of York, Hull, &c.

Saturday last, in an advanced age, at Ginns near this town, Mr. John HUDSON, one of the people called Quakers, a man of fair character.

Sunday morning, after a short illness, Mrs. GRIFFITH in Queen-street, in the 65th year of her age, greatly respected.

At Carlisle a few days since, in the advanced age of 97, Mrs. Cath. WILSON, mother to Christopher and Joseph PHILLIPSON of London, Esqrs. These two gentlemen (the eldest 82) paid their aged parent a visit last summer, and found the old gentlewoman in such health, that she could sing a song with great glee, or dance a jig with the activity of a person of forty: It was remarkable she never knew sickness; and her eyesight and senses were so strong, that she could see to read without spectacles, and spin within a few days of her death: She lived to see the fifth generation, both by male and female; died with the general character of being the good Christian, the tender parent, and sincere friend.
