DEATHS.
Since our last, Mr. John GRAHAM, aged 69. Mrs. Mary LAWSON, aged 28 years.
At Moor End, near Thursby, on the 23d instant, Mr. John HUTTON, aged 73, after a painful illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude for some years.
At Penrith, on the 28th instant, Mr. Daniel SOWERBY, mason, aged 53.
On Monday, at Alston, Mrs. Jane CARRICK, aged 76.
On the 19th inst. at Maryport, John, the son of Mr. Stephen MOORE of that town, aged 23. On Sunday last, Elizabeth LITTLE, aged 46.
Sunday morning, at his house at Corkickle, near Whitehaven, Thomas LISTER, Esq. aged 69 years, Comptroller of the Customs at that port upwards of 20 years. In Scotch-street, Whitehaven, aged 78, Mr. James PENNIMENT. He had been 62 years at sea, and latterly commanded the Samuel of Whitehaven. In Church-street, Mr. Peter HANNAH, aged 76. Mrs. Ann WREN, Ginns, aged 62.
At Calderbridge, Mrs. MOSSOP, relict of the late Mr. Henry MOSSOP, of the Golden Fleece Inn, 43.
At Low Holm, in Eskdale Mrs. PORTER, relict of the late Mr. John PORTER, of that place, at an advanced age.
At Keswick, Mr. Samuel CULLING, late surveyor of the turnpike roads, advanced in years.
On the 18th instant, at Cambridge, after a long illness, aged 48, Mary, wife of Mr. Thomas WARWICK, late of Carlisle.
At Haverigg, in Millom, Mr. Richard CLEASBY, late officer of his Majesty's Customs at Holborn Hill, aged 71 years. At Green, Mr. William TAYLOR, aged 60. At Strand, in Millom, at the advanced age of 93, Mrs. Anne BROCKBANK. The deceased kept a public house at Holborn Hill for nearly half a century. Same place, Mrs. BRAITHWAITE, in the prime of life.
On Tuesday the 19th instant, at his house at Mortlake, Surrey, Margaret, the wife of Mr. Joseph CHRISTIAN, of London.
At Dumfries, July 21, Mr. W. S. ANDERSON, aged 29.
A few days ago, in Birmingham Workhouse, aged 77, Joseph SCRUISE, a Greenwich Pensioner, one of the last of Capt. COOKE's crew, who saw the celebrated circumnavigator fall.
At Posen, (Germany) on the 13th of June, Peter TUCHAN, in the 29th year of his age, of dropsy in the chest. He was a native of Tula, and remarkable for his gigantic stature. He measured eight feet seven inches in height, so that the hands of the tallest man hardly reached his breast. It was remarkable that he had not a beard; that his voice was soft and his feet weak; he was a very moderate eater, and it is said he was seven years old before he began to grow in such an extraordinary manner.
