DEATHS.
On Thursday last, in Fisher-street, John, the infant son of Mr. John DIXON, after a very short illness.
In Caldewgate, on Wednesday last, at the house of her brother-in-law, Mr. Wm. COULTHARD, Mrs. Sarah MESSENGER, aged 73.
Since our last, in this City, Mrs. Jane HALL, of Caldewgate, aged 78. Mrs. Elizabeth GROVER, Botchergate, aged 43. Mr. Thomas STOCKWELL, Barkhill, aged 57. Mr. John JOHNSTON, Botchergate, aged 77.
In London, on Tuesday last, Mr. Thomas PARKER, of the firm of JONES and PARKER, surgeons—a young man eminent in his profession, and a native of Carlisle.
At Penrith, on the 3d. inst. Mrs. Mary HALFPENNY, widow, aged 74, Same place, on the 6th, Euphemia, wife of Mr. Fergus LAMB, hostler at the Crown Inn, aged 33. Same place, on the 8th, Nathan TODD, shoemaker, aged 33.
At Whitehaven, John WALLACE, aged 78.
On Saturday last, at Boon Wood, parish of Gosforth, Rachel, daughter of Mr. Daniel LEECH, aged 13.
At Cockermouth, Mrs. SHEPHERD, aged 45, wife of Mr. John SHEPHERD, Bush Inn.
Dec. 3, at Harrington, Mr. Isaac KEY, aged 61 years, one of the partners of the late firm of Messrs. KEY, CARR, and Co. ship builders, Harrington.
At Workington, Mrs. Elizabeth CURWEN, aged 34. Same place, Mrs. Rebecca HODGSON, relict of Mr. John HODGSON, merchant, aged 60.
At Keswick, aged 58 years, Mr. Thomas BANKS, formerly a clerk in the banking-house, of MASTERMAN and Co., London.
At Keswick, Mr. Thomas TAYLOR, waller, aged 50.
In Durham, after a few hours illness, aged 83, Christopher EBDON, Esq. formerly an eminent architect.
At Dumfries, aged 79, Mary, widow of the late Mr. John BROWN, Academy-street.
At Netherwood Mains, Mrs. Janet BROWN, relict of the deceased John BROWN, Esq. of Netherwood, aged 28.
At Lammonbie, suddenly, Mrs. RICHARDSON, wife of Mr. James RICHARDSON, farmer there, and many years landlady of the King's Arms Inn, Lockerbie.
At sea, on his voyage to India, on the 21st June last, aged 18, John MAXWELL, Madras Artillery, second son of the late Lieut. Colonel MAXWELL, of Carrachan.
At Kirkby Lonsdale, Mr. Jos. DODD, currier, aged 74.
At Leeds, on Sunday the 28th ult., Mrs. SPENCER, relict of the late Mr. John SPENCER, of Alfreton, surgeon, and daughter of Mr. HOLDEN, formerly of Carlisle.
At Manchester, on Saturday week, in the 20th year of his age, Robert MILNER, son of the Rev. Robert MILNER, vicar of Orton, Westmorland.
Nov. 29, at his house, in the Regent's Park, the Right Hon. Lord HAWKE.
Lately, at Morton, near Southwell, Dorothy FLETCHER, in her 103d year. She and her husband were relieved as paupers more than 60 years ago; and although they had only four children, yet they have received, at different times, weekly payments to the amount of more than £1000.
On the 24th ult., at Threckley Fell, Ann JAMIESON, aged 102, She resided at Bambrough 58 years, and was one of the greatest spinners of the North; and what is remarkable, she has for the las [sic] twelve months spun upwards of 40 yards of cloth for the use of her son, although she has been blind for above three years; and it was with great difficulty she could be kept from her wheel on the morning of her death.
