MARRIED.

 

This day se'ennight, at Newcastle, George CLAVERING, Esq.; of Green Croft, to Miss ELLISON of Northumberland-street.

[According to FamilySearch, the bride's forename was Margaret; they married on 12 May 1777 at St. Andrew, Newcastle upon Tyne.]

 

Last week at the same place, Thomas LORAINE, Esq.; Sheriff of Newcastle, to Miss HAIGH.

[According to FamilySearch, James Thomas LORAINE and Margaret HAIGH married on 15 May 1777 at All Saints, Newcastle upon Tyne.]

 

DIED.

 

Wednesday last, at Egremont, in a very advanced age, Mrs. BLENCOWE, relict of the late Dr. BLENCOWE of this town; and on Friday her remains were brought to town, and interred with great solemnity at the Old Church.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Frances BLENCOWE was buried on 16 May 1777 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]

 

Last week, at Mump's-hall, near Guilsland Wells, Mrs. Margaret TEASEDALE in the 108th year of her age.

[According to the headstone transcription, Upper Denton Churchyard, Margaret TEASDALE of Mumps Hall died 05 May 1777 aged 98.]
