Jan. 31, at Fort Ann, Isle of Man, the Lady of the Hon. Deemster CHRISTIAN of a Daughter.

 

On the 2d inst. at Yate Rectory, Gloucestershire, the Lady of the Rev. W. S. GOODENOUGH, of a Son.

 

Saturday last, in Dean's yard, Westminster, the Lady of the Rev. Dr. GOODENOUGH, Master of Westminster School, of a Daughter.

At St. Mary's church, in this city, on Sunday last, Mr. Thomas MARK, cabinet-maker, to Miss Ann GILBERTSON, dress-maker, both of Caldewgate.

 

On Tuesday, at Yanwath, Mr. John WHITE, yeoman, to Eliza, only daughter of Mr. Thomas JACKSON, yeoman, both of the same place.

 

On Sunday last, at Croscannonby, Mr. John MONKHOUSE, master of the Betty, of Maryport, to Mrs. Ann CRONE, widow.

 

Feb. 16, at Crosthwaite Church, Keswick, by the Rev. J. LYNN, M. A. Mr. FIBUS, surveyor of roads, to Mrs. JACKSON of the Royal Oak inn, Keswick, widow of the late Mr. Jos. JACKSON of that place.

 

At Whitehaven, Mr. W. JACKSON, to Miss M. WILSON. Mr. J. SANDERSON, to Miss M. D. MARTIN.

 

At Crosthwaite Church, Keswick, Mr. J. HARRISON, Grasmere, to Miss Hannah HODGSON, of Keswick. Same place, Mr. John WATSON, to Miss MARSHALL.

 

At Kendal, Mr. T. TAYLOR, joiner, to Miss Sarah PLATT, milliner. At Kirkby Lonsdale, Mr. W. CRAGG, Tarnside, Lupton, to Miss ATKINSON, of Hutton-roof. [According to FamilySearch, William CRAGG and Ellen ATKINSON married on 04 Feb 1826 at Kirkby Lonsdale.] Same place, Mr. Richard HUTTON, of Barbon, to Miss Bella SAUL. [According to FamilySearch, they married on 04 Feb 1826 at Kirkby Lonsdale, and the bride was called Margaret SAUL.] Mr. ATKINSON, of Broomfield, to Jane, only daughter of Mr. James LAMBERT, of Arkholmes. [According to FamilySearch, William ATKINSON and Jane LAMBERT married on 04 Feb 1826 at Melling, Lancashire.] Mr. John THOMPSON, of Farleton, to Miss Mary SHAW. [According to FamilySearch, Thomas (not John) THOMPSON and Mary SHAW married on 07 Feb 1826 at Kirkby Lonsdale.] Mr. W. LUPTON, to Miss TURNER, of Newbiggin. [No such marriage found on FamilySearch or Ancestry.]

 

Mr. James ADSHEAD, of Wood, in Stayley, Lancashire, to Christiana, youngest daughter of Mr. Richard HODGSON, of Bedlington, Northumberland.

 

On the 9th instant, at Armitage Church, the Hon. Thomas LISTER, only son of Lord Ribblesdale, to Adelaide, eldest daughter of Thomas LISTER, Esq. of Armitage-park, in the county of Stafford.

 

DEATHS.

 

On Tuesday last, in Court-Square, Mrs. M'WILLIAMS, aged 63.

 

On Sunday night last, in Drovers-Lane, Carlisle, after a few hours illness, Mr. Edward HIND, aged 65, a freeman of Carlisle.—On Monday, in St. Cuthbert's lane, Mrs. HAMILTON, wife of Mr. Jas. HAMILTON, guard of the Liverpool New-Times coach, aged 45. Mrs. Jane TRACEY, of Ritson's-lane, aged 62. Mrs. Ann HALL, Caldewgate, aged 54.

 

In December last, at New Brunswick, North America, Mr. John MARK, in his 33rd year, son of Mr. Thomas MARK, joiner and cabinet-maker, Caldewgate, Carlisle.

 

On the 8th inst. at Sebergham Church Town, aged 78, Mr. Wm. BARTON, formerly of High-head Castle.

 

At Kirkbampton, on Sunday last, Mr. John BROWN, aged 84 years, much respected.

 

At Penrith, Feb. 10, Catherine, wife of the late Mr. T. CARMALT, aged 67, whose death was announced in our last paper. On Sunday, both were interred in one grave, side by side, in the presence of a greater number of spectators than were ever known to have assembled in Penrith on any similar occasion. The deceased were very highly respected.—Feb. 15, at Penrith, Margaret, wife of Robert HODGSON, aged 64.

 

On the 12th inst., at Maryport, the infant daughter of Mr. Wm. TICKLE. Same day, Margaret, the daughter of Captain FEARON, of the St. George, in the 3d year of her age. In King-street, on Monday last, Ann, the daughter of Mr. Henry TICKLE, in her 16th year.

 

On Saturday last, at his house in Scotch-st., Whitehaven, Mr. LEDGER, aged 77. He was eminently distinguished for regularity of conduct, and punctuality in all his dealings. For more than half a century he had been engaged in maritime and mercantile transactions, and his integrity was never questioned. Lately, at Corkickle, near Whitehaven, Henry, son of Mr. Joseph YOUNG, aged 14 years. On Saturday last, at Egremont, Mrs. Mary SITTLENTON, aged 78. [According to the Copeland Registers Index, Mary LITTLINGTON, aged 78, was buried on 13 Feb 1826 at Egremont.] At Harrington, Mr. Edward WESTRAY, mariner, aged 65.

 

At Thornthwaite, near Keswick, Elizabeth, the wife of Mr. Wm. WINDER.

 

At Sawry, near Hawkshead, Mr. Thomas HODGSON, advanced in years. He put a period to his existence by suspending himself from a tree.

 

Near Stavely, Westmorland, Mr. Wm. ROWLANDSON, of the Ashes, aged 79.

 

On Saturday last, at Dumfries, Marian, aged 16 months, daughter of Mr. ADAMSON, writer. On the 9th inst. Mr. James MUIR, horse-dealer, much respected.

 

At Liverpool, after a long period of ill health, Marion, wife of Mr. James MILLIGAN, merchant, of Liverpool, and eldest daughter of the late Robert JACKSON, Esq. of Dumfries.

 

The Countess of Carnarvon died on Friday, at her brother's (the Earl of Egremount [sic]) seat, Petworth, Sussex.

 

The 10th inst., at his house in Doctors' Commons, aged 73, Maurice SWABY, Esq. D. C. L.

 

On the 6th instant, in London, Sir Edmund ANTROBUS, Bart. F. R. S.

 

At Worcester, on Saturday night last, Mr. INCLEDON, the celebrated vocalist, at an advanced age. There is no one to supply his place in his peculiarly English style.

 

On Thursday week, in Douglas, Isle of Man, Francis De la Pryme GENESTE, Esq., advocate, aged 21.
