MARRIED.

 

Saturday last, at Lamplugh Church, by the Rev. Mr. NICHOLSON, Mr. Senhouse PARKIN of the King's Arm's Inn, Workington, to Miss FOX of Millgill-head.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, their full names were Senhouse Abraham PARKIN and Fanny FOX.]

 

Thomas TUNSTALL, Esq. of Durham, to Miss BORNEY of Bosworth Hall, in Lincolnshire.

[According to FamilySearch, Thomas TUNSTALL of St. Oswald, Durham, and Mary BOLNEY of Husbands Bosworth, married on 29 Sep 1777 at Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire (not Lincolnshire).]

 

Tuesday last at Ennerdale, Mr. John PALMER of Cleator, to Miss LAMB of Kinnyside, an agreeable young lady with a handsome fortune.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, the bride's forename was Sarah; they married on 07 Oct 1777.]

 

Wednesday last at St. Ann's, Soho, London, Mr. John RUMNEY, merchant in this town, to Miss BACCHEN, of Dean-street, Soho.

[According to the Parish Register of St. Ann, Soho, London, the bride was Ann BALCHIN of this Parish, a Minor; they married with the consent of Ann BALCHIN, widow, her mother, and her two guardians; her deceased father was Peter BALCHIN.]

 

DIED.

 

Wednesday last greatly respected, in the 56th year of his age, Mr. John BORROWSCALE, who had been many years employed by Henry CURWEN, Esq. as an agent in the colleries [sic]. His death was untimely, and occasioned by a rope breaking as he was going down one of the pits. His remains were interred last Friday at Harrington Church, where a great concourse of people attended on the mournful occasion, sincerely lamenting the sudden loss of a worthy, honest man.

At Whitby, Mr. Jeremiah ROBINSON, deputy comptroller of the customs there.

[According to FamilySearch, he was buried on 10 Oct 1777 at Berwick-upon-Tweed.]
