Last month died at Rome, Miss SWINBURNE, eldest daughter of Henry SWINBURNE, Esq. of Hamsterley, in the county of Durham. She was a young Lady of most extraordinary accomplishments: her sense was so premature, her talents and progress in knowledge so very wonderful, and her skill in all the arts so much above her years, that she may be said to have died of old age. Her remains are interred in the English College at Rome.

Sunday last, at Trinity church, Capt. Joseph DICKENSON, to Miss Rebecca WESTRAY, both of this place.
[According to the Copeland Registers Index, the groom was Joseph DICKINSON; they married on 18 Oct 1778 at Holy Trinity, Whitehaven.]
DIED
The 9th inst. in the 88th year of his age, Mr. CHRISTIAN of Balla-Hutchan, near Douglass in the Isle of Mann; a gentleman greatly and deservedly lamented.
[According to Manx National Heritage, Thomas CHRISTIAN was buried on 09 Oct 1778 at Braddan.]
Lately at Distington, greatly respected, Mrs. FEARON, wife of Mr. FEARON.
At Cambridge, Mr. FREEMAN, many years coachman to King's College. In the course of a long and parsimonious life, he had saved upwards of 600 l. out of which he has left 150 l. to Addenbrooke's Hospital, 150 l. to the poor of St. Edward's parish, 50 l. to the charity school in Cambridge, and several small legacies. He also bequeathed 50 l. to King's College, as a token of gratitude and respect for the society to which he had long been a servant.
