A few days ago, at Workington, Mr. Darcey BENN, to Miss Isabella JACKSON.

[According to the Marriage Bond, they were Darcy BENN the Younger, Breadbaker, aged 22, and Isabel JACKSON, Spinster, aged 21, both of Workington. According to the Parish Register Transcript, they married on 26 May 1778 at Workington.]

 

DIED

 

Suddenly at Carlisle, on Sunday se'nnight, Mrs. GALE, relict of Robert GALE, Esq. and sister to Humphrey SENHOUSE, Esq. of Netherhall: few people have lived more respected or died more lamented than her.

[According to FamilySearch, Mrs. Mary GALE, aged 45, was buried on 27 May 1778 at St. Mary, Carlisle.]
